About Worcester
On the banks of the beautiful River Severn sits the Cathedral city of Worcester. Local history
Having played its part in the English Civil War, Worcester is one of England’s most important and historic cities hosting many Tudor buildings, blue plaques and a number of beautiful green spaces, including its three main parks, Cripplegate Park, Gheluvelt Park and Fort Royal Park. However, its crowning glory has to be the imposing 10th Century Worcester Cathedral with its Royal tombs and medieval cloisters.

With a collection of independent boutiques mixed with an impressive array of high street brands, Worcester has it all when it comes to shopping. It’s also home to Crown Gate Shopping Centre that offers the perfect mix of luxury and convenience. Elgar Retail Park is a little closer to home and has a great mix of stores and eateries.
Recreation
Whether you’re wanting to watch the big match, shop ‘til you drop or see the latest release, you’ll be able to do it all in Worcester. Famous for its sporting acumen, Worcester proudly boasts of the Worcester Warriors who currently compete against the best in World Rugby League. You can also enjoy a day out at Worcester Racecourse that has been staging horse races since 1718. The city is also home to two large Imax cinemas and the Hanover Theatre that stages popular productions all year round.
